Limkokwing University Bred Fashion Talents Ready for the World

Limkokwing University held their fourth installment of year-end fashion show, ‘Creativity in Motion’, at Cafe Stelle in Pavilion Shopping Mall on 15 December 2010. Featuring designs from a collection of Limkokwing students from semester 3, 4 and 5 as well as their graduating students of 2010. Divided into two parts, a total of 36 garments were featured in the first part of the show, followed by the 2010 graduating class collection, which featured 26 pieces in total. ‘Creativity in Motion’ is a collection of fashion ideas from the world’s next generation that took on a variety of influence.

Amongst these are designed by Ainaidu Reyilan from China, inspired by Chinese Musk Opera, focusing on the opera and using snakes as a symbol of forbidden love. Michelle Ho Choy Tsin of Malaysia drew her inspiration from the Japanese folk art of paper folding, Origami, while Vivi Surya of Indonesia is inspired by her passionate campaign statements relating to Cervical Cancer and uses the colour pink in her designs to reflect this.

With celebrities such as supermodel Amber Chia, actress and host, Sazzy Falak, Gillian Hung, President of the Malaysian Official Designers’ Association and the most popular supermodel in Asia, Danielle Graham, this event is expected to be even more dazzling than ever.
