HAHA, Made You Look!

April Fools’ Day is just around the corner. Be careful you don’t fall into the pranks or tricks especially if it’s life-threatening. (Not to scare you though! :P) To avoid being prank by anyone on April Fools’ Day, here are some useful tips for everyone.

Remember what day it is at all times. Think about it when you get up, while you eat breakfast, as you're driving and throughout your daily activities. You won't be caught off guard by simply failing to remember that it's April Fools’ Day. Yes, paranoia. :P

Take the time to think about everything someone says to you. Analyze the probability of truthfulness in each statement and don't respond until you know whether or not it is true. Or you can just fall for it and have some laughs after.

Avoid conversations that begin with someone saying to you, "Guess what!" or "Check this out!" On April Fool's Day, there is a high probability that these are traps to get you to fall for a prank or believe a false statement. Instead of responding, just say, "No thanks," and walk away like a party pooper. :P

Remain in familiar territory. Don't do anything outside of your normal routine when you are around others on April Fools’ Day. Once you're doing something unfamiliar, it is easy to let your guard down and you'll be more vulnerable to being fooled.

Resist the urge to play pranks on others. If you don't want to be fooled yourself, don't give others a reason to retaliate by pulling pranks on you. If you don't want to be fooled you'll have to stay as unnoticed as possible.

Yes, all of the above is IF you can’t take a joke. :P

But of course if you’d want to prank, PRANK RESPONSIBLY! :)

WOW, Fantastic Baby!

Greetings all earthlings!
It's been such an eventful month of March and
we're back from the slight hiatus with a BIG BANG!

Well, Big Bang that is...

We're not sure about you but we at MYC!...
okay SOME of us in MYC! love Big Bang and K-Pop! Do you?

Here are some fun facts of the boys you may not know about... until now! ;)

Fact #1
G-Dragon is described as the "most fashionable" one in his group, his role in influencing fashion trends in South Korea have garnered him awards such as the "Style Icon of 2008" and the award for "Most Influential Men of 2008" sponsored by Arena magazine. Fashion icon Kang Dong Wan have also acknowledge G-Dragon's influences, calling him a "fashionista."

Fact #2
G-Dragon was a trainee under the record label YG Entertainment for six years before officially debuting as the leader and one of two rappers for the Korean hip-hop group Big Bang. Since their debut, G-Dragon has been involved with the production of their albums: he composed and wrote several tracks by himself, including "Lies," "Last Farewell," and "Haru Haru."

Fact #3
Taeyang likes games and manga. He also can speak fluent English and Japanese. He can rap and beatbox too.

Fact #4
Taeyang’s first appearance in the entertainment industry was in the hip-hop group Jinusean's music video "A-yo". The collaboration eventually lead him to successfully auditioning into the group's record label YG Entertainment, where he became one of the rappers alongside fellow trainee G-Dragon.

Fact #5
T.O.P was an underground rapper and a childhood friend of G-Dragon. G-Dragon stated that the two were "neighborhood friends from middle school" and would often dance and rap together. Although G-Dragon later moved away and the two "became distant", he contacted him again when YG Entertainment was scouting for candidates to create a boy band.

Fact #6
T.O.P stage name was chosen by SE7VEN.

Fact #7
Seungri is often dubbed the Panda or Baby Panda because of his eye bags.

Fact #8
Seungri says that broccoli is a good remedy for bloodshot, so he eats it almost every day.

Fact #9
Although Daesung’s parents were against the idea of him becoming a singer, Daesung pursued a career as a singer and was eventually recruited by YG Entertainment after auditioning.

Fact #10
Daesung is obsessed with Doraemon.

In case you've got absolutely no clue of whom we're talking about here, below is a link to one of their famous songs that we, okay SOME of us at MYC! sing-a-long to!

The Best Things In Life Come In Simple Ways

I’m sure everyone agrees that ice cream is one the best desserts. It doesn’t matter how old you are, you can be an old, old lady, or a kid still crawling on four; everyone still enjoys a nice, cold, creamy treat. It turns grumps happy too!

We’re lucky to be Malaysians in this climate; it gives us an opportunity to indulge in the cold, sweet treat whenever we want to. Well… then again I still eat ice cream in winter. *grins*

The awesome part about ice cream is that it allows us to be spoilt for choices. There’s just something so magical about it. Okay excuse me as I drift off to sweet wonderland for a minute. It melts in your mouth perfectly. Hey, really… even those ice cream sold by uncles on motorbikes. (Reminiscing childhood days)

From ice cream cake, to FRIED ice cream, to ice cream sandwiches, sorbet, and many more. And it goes well with, well almost everything! What’s your favorite type of ice cream? Err… speak PG-13 yea! J

Fun Facts:

1.    It takes 12 lbs. of milk to make just one gallon of ice cream. Wonder how they fit it all in one carton?

2.    The U.S. enjoys an average of 48 pints of ice cream per person, per year, more than any other country. Maybe we should make ice cream the fifth food group!

3.    It takes an average of 50 licks to polish off a single-scoop ice cream cone. Challenge your family to a Lick-a-Thon, and see who finishes first!

4.    The biggest ice cream sundae in history was made in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, in 1988, and weighed in at over 24 tons. You can't order that in an ice cream parlour!

5.   In 2003, Portland, Oregon bought more ice cream per person than any other U.S. city. Looks like everyone else has a lot of catching up to do!

6.    The ice cream cone's invention is linked to the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis. An ice cream vendor reportedly didn't have enough dishes to keep up with the demand, so he teamed up with a waffle vendor who rolled his waffles into cones!

Mmmm… Off to get a cone for myself now!

Braving Fear

Phobias.
It is natural for people to be afraid of something. Some people could have the silliest fear like the fear of taking a shower or for some, something more serious like fear of terrorism or death. Before going in depth of phobias, let me share something with everyone, just for laughs.

Source: Googly Gooeys
Technically, with creatures like cockroaches and house lizards, that's basically how things are. But what about something like being claustrophobia (fear of small spaces) or acrophobia (fear of heights)?

Did you know that phobias like claustrophobia can be treated? And did you know that phobias are always caused by something? For example, some people are aquaphobic (fear of water) because they might have gone through something traumatising in the past while swimming. The most important thing about phobias is that, one should never force a person to do something if they fear something because it could physically, mentally and emotionally hurt the person which could lead to depression. It also comes down to respecting the person’s fears.

Remember friends, nobody can force you to do something if you do not want to or have a fear for it. Do not be ashamed to tell people of your fears if it mentally or emotionally disturbs you. Talk it out to someone you trust, and try your best to overcome your fears.

Brave the fear!

"Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing

the game."
