Life Lessons

What You Don’t Learn in School

Some of life’s most important lessons happen outside of school that can only be learned through experience. Well, of course what you learn in class will definitely help you through but that doesn't mean they’re the only skills you'll be needing! Having a kick-start with these basic knowledge will give you the extra advantage and hopefully, be more prepared with life’s roller coaster.

1) You Need a Break!

Even if you enjoy pursuing your dreams and doing a million things in a day, you’ll eventually burn out and it’s time to recharge. Whether it’s a night out with friends, or a pampering day at the spa, giving your body the break it deserves will help you out to keep doing what you love in the long run.

2) Know What Makes You Happy

Standing up for yourself is something you should NEVER be afraid of doing. Maybe you tend to avoid it from appearing too selfish or demanding but in the end, you are in charge of your own happiness and what you really deserve.

3) Go Big or Go Home

Taking risks can have huge pay-offs, even if they don’t seem to go your way. Just because they might seem scary at first, it doesn't mean that it can’t be the next best thing you would ever experience. So, the next time when an opportunity comes knocking on the door, JUST TAKE IT! Some of the best things in life only happens when you take a leap of faith and leave your comfort zone.

4) The Littlest Things

We get so caught up in this crazy whirlwind of life that we lose sight of what’s actually important. Take a step back and appreciate the little pleasures which we usually take for granted. It could be the smell of fresh coffee in the morning or the glittering raindrops in the evening. The world is a beautiful and exciting place, it's time to refocus what’s already around us instead of worrying about things that are out of our control.

5) You are Stronger than You Know it

No matter what life throws in your way, no matter how many disappointments or how many times your heart gets broken, know that you are stronger than you know it. Trust that there is always light at the end of the tunnel and time heals all wounds. You will emerge from every low points in your life with a lesson learned and you'd be surprised that you've underestimated yourself all along.
