For The Love of Coffee


Mmm, coffee. The many wonders of coffee; some love it, some don't. No doubt about coffee causing stained teeth, bad breath and aftertaste, increased risk of heart attack, high blood pressure, possible sleep deprivation, and so forth. Stop me before I scare coffee-lovers away. 

But on a good side, coffee is not all hazardous to the human body. Coffee is loaded with antioxidants that help prevent oxidation, a process that causes damage to cells and contributes to aging. Regular coffee consumption reduces the risk of Parkinson's disease, while it is also known to improve mental performance. Caffeine in coffee is a well known stimulant as coffee promotes alertness, attention, and wakefulness.

Facts aside for a minute, making your own cuppa is just as therapeutic and satisfying as sipping a cuppa that tastes good.

  • Take some coffee beans with you in your bag when you shop for perfumes. Have a sniff in between smelling each perfume scent to refresh your nose.

  • A coffee tree has about a lifespan of 50 to 70 years!
  • The aromas of coffee develop at the 10th minute of coffee-roasting.
  • Coffee is the 2nd most widely used product in the world, after oil.
  • The world's 2nd most popular drink, after water.
  • In the United States, September 29th is celebrated as "National Coffee Day"!
